I've been a Built To Last customer for about ten years. First purchase was a set of Captain chairs and side table for a OBX property. Over the years I've added a chase lounge and side table, and a picnic table. This spring I took advantage of the discontinued color sale and picked up two more Captain chairs and two Adirondack chairs. The delivery guys are professional, on time and carried the very heavy assembled chairs up stairs to the porch. When I wanted to build a backyard firepit at my residence, BTL Adirondacks were the only chairs I considered. I purchased four chairs when I built the firepit and added four more this spring. The chairs shipped very quickly and assemble was easy, even putting them together without help. I've purchased other pollywood type furniture at a lower price point, but in every case the quality, comfort and weight did not match that of Built To Last...and in a high wind environment like the OBX weight especially matters.

I’m not sure which chairs we have, I think they are now called the bar chair with the extended step? When I bought ours I think they were called dolphin watch? I cannot brag about this furniture enough. No, I am not paid to advertise this. I’ve owned the set of chairs for at least 12 years. They sat in the blistering sun all year in NC (yes, on our back porch, uncovered facing full sun). Five years ago we moved to Alaska and they’ve spent at least one full year outdoors, including our first winter with -20° F weather, 100 mile an hour winds and 140 inches of snow (we kept the chairs brushed off as much as we could), without any damage whatsoever (but we still decided maybe we should bring them in for winter after that and not chance it 😉 I’m just now getting them out of the shop to put them back on the deck for summer and I was thinking, man, these chairs are so freaking Awesome, I can’t believe how well they have held up and I’m gonna post a review! There is no rust on anything, there is no fading in the color (we have the teal), no damage and they are just as sturdy as when we bought them. I love love love these chairs. And they are sooooo comfy. We’ll be moving back down South next year and I’ve already decided we will definitely be taking these chairs anywhere we go, so leaving the antique side table but taking the beach chairs haha;) and looking forward to buying the little table to go in between (even though the armrest are way big enough to set a drink on, still thought a cupholder or some extra space for a book or something would be nice too, so we’ll be by to get the table once we move back!).
