Absolutely loved Southland Restaurant. The burger was outstanding — juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and loaded with fresh toppings. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Great food, great service, and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re craving a seriously good burger.

Family stopped for a bite to eat, I got the pulled pork with a bun, Mac and cheese and coleslaw. They had sweet baby rays BBQ sauce at the tables to use. I tried the pulled pork by itself with no sauce and it was nice and moist and had a very good flavor. In my opinion it didn't need any extra sauce (sweet baby rays) added. Bun was decent. Coleslaw was a bit dry not creamy at all and wasn't that great but it was OK. Didn't try the Mac and cheese so cant comment on that. My 7yo very picky eater kid had a cheese burger and enjoyed it very much, she said she loved it! Wife enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich also. Service was fast and friendly.

Actually really surprised with how good this restaurant was. I had the fried catfish with hush puppies, mac and cheese, and potato salad. Fried catfish was fresh and crispy and delicious, Mac and cheese was good southern cafeteria style, potato salad a little sweet for my preference, hush puppies were great. I'd like to come back and try the wings and a roll - the rolls looked really good walking by us. Great service from the waitress, too.

I thought I ordered the catfish special on Friday night for 10.99. Catfish, roll, Cole slaw, fries. I changed the cole slaw for okra, I dont eat any of the sides, just the fish and I got the one trip to the garden bar. Wife likes the okra. Got the bill it was 14.99. Went to pay and was told it is specifically what was on the board, no substitutions. I wasn't informed and if it was written I over looked it. Could have been my mistake, It's only 4 dollars and the food is so good, no big deal and still a great value even at 14.99. Been going since 2000, miss the buffet and the mickey mouse pancakes for the kids when they were young 20 years ago. Was not going to post, but saw the recent review of someone else being charged differently. I see the owner responded just more of an FYI. Maybe training issue or computer system, or customer error. Will definitely be back as we have for 26 years. Still best food for the value no matter what the miscommunication was and friendly down home staff. Wife got the fried chicken as usual, do not change that breading or grease, still some of the best fried chicken around. Thank you.

The food was great! The fried chicken was cooked fresh per order. I drove for 45 minutes just to eat there. I hadn't visited since before Covid when they had a buffet. I was disappointed they no longer had it but the food didn't disappoint. They're a little heavy on the salt as a seasoning but otherwise the food was very tasty. The prices are very reasonable. Lower than the prices of chain restaurants and the food is much better. I look forward to going back.
