I will start with, in general my father did not have a problem with the nursing staff. They treated him well. There was one incident that caused him to have to go the Emergency Dept in ECity, when they tried to remove his catheter, after having left it in too long. My issues were with the administration. They were evasive when trying to discuss them providing proper paperwork for the Medicaid application. When I told them that his application was denied because they did not give them the paperwork in time, they got ugly and tried to brow beat me and told me that I had no business applying on my own and that they only did Medicaid applications "In-House". They said that I had been told this several times in the past, which was an outright lie. This was the first I had heard this. After this incident, they then began manipulating his care so that he wasn't able to get a needed procedure done to be discharged. I had to intervene and coordinate care with his doctors to get the surgery taken care of. Even the coordinators at the Drs. office were appalled at how evasive and rude they were being to them. They even suggested that I file a complaint against Currituck. He has finally been transitioned home. And they are now harassing my family for full payment, when they have some culpability for him being in the facility for as long as he was. Please, do not even ask me to call your so called "COMPLIANCE" line. I did that approximately 2- months ago. All I got was a call from the facility stating that they would get back to me with my concerns. And, funny how approximately 2 months ago, right after I called the compliance line is when Currituck started to pad their reviews here on Google. Especially praising their office staff. A lot of the reviews are from actual employees and spouses. Am I right, staff? Based on my experience, I would look elsewhere.

They communicate changes in patient status promptly, participate actively in care planning, and work toward achieving patients' rehabilitation and discharge goals. Their collaboration helps support continuity of care.
