This is simply the best way to see the OBX from the air. I've spent a lot of time in small airplanes, helicopters, and I've done tandem hang glider flights before. This beat them all, hands down. Flying with Andy was the best flight experience I could have asked for! The distance we could cover was SO incredible and I got to see the sound, cruise over the beach, buzz the piers, and we even got to chase a pod of dolphins! No hang glider has that reach and no small plane is that maneuverable. If you're torn on how to take a sightseeing tour of the Banks, this is hands down the answer!

Looking for a little excitement while visiting the Outer Banks? Soar 4,000 feet above the marsh and Ocean with unobstructed views! The aircraft has the ability to fly low near Corolla so that you can view the wild horses and crashing waves. We brought a small group and had an unforgettable experience. Well worth the money.

This is a must do on an OBX trip! Such a cool way to experience the area from a totally different perspective. Unbelievably cool to fly over the beach and see schools of fish, dolphins, and everything else you can’t see in any other way. Our pilot was very nice and friendly and helped to make the experience extraordinary!

We were staying in the OBX and saw a trike flying overhead on the way to dinner on Wednesday, I googled obx ultralight flights and gave Pilot/Instructor Andy a call. We set up a tile to fly, exchanged some emails to get instructions to the airport (Carrituck Regional Airport), and the next evening we were up flying over the Outer Banks seeing wild horses and getting an incredible views of the wild northern most parts of the OBX. I’ve been enthralled by free flight/open cockpit aircraft my whole life and my flight with UltraFlight OBX exceeded all my expectations. It’s weather dependent so give Andy a call a few days ahead of time to set up your flight.

I have flown with Andy twice and have never felt safer with such a level of excitement and adventure. Riding in the trike is a memory of a lifetime and highly recommend such a unique experience to see the outer banks. Andy is highly professional and walked you through every tiny step of safety and what to expect. He is encouraging and kind and warm welcoming. I cannot recommend him enough!
